Madeleines
Hello dear friends everywhere. I’m sharing with you a Madeleine cookie to try creating in your own home. It’s wonderfully tasty and delicious. But where did this delicious cookie came from?
According to Wikipedia, this buttery textured cookie is known to have originated in northeastern of France and baked in Madeleine tins, which is a shape like a shell. There are many legend stories which pertain to the creation of this elegant cookie dating back to the 17th CE, but its firs recipe didn’t actually appear in the country until mid-18th CE.
Today, you’ll find this cookie at most Starbucks establishments. Indeed it is very tasty and buttery textured kind of cake. It is very good with white chocolate mocha, tea, or anything of your favorite choice of drink that will complement this heavenly delicious kind of cookie.
Ingredients:
1 c. flour
1 stick and 2 tbl spoon unsalted butter, melted (or 10 tbl)
3 large eggs at room temperature
⅔ c. sugar
1½ tsp orange blossom water
½ tsp kosher salt
Steps and Procedures:
Preheat oven to 37F degrees. If using a non-stick pan, grease the pan with baking spray made with flour.
In an electric mixing bowl, mix and whip sugar, eggs, and salt in medium-high speed until mixture is pale and thick.
Next, stir in the orange blossom water.
Then alternatively, add and fold slowly the flour and the melted butter.
Cover the batter with saran wrap and place in the fridge for 45 minutes.
Remove the batter from the fridge and use a spoon to place 1 tablespoon of batter in each shell of the madeleine mold.
Bake for 12-14 minutes.
Remove from oven and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
Transfer to a serving platter. Serve and enjoy with family and friends.

Beautiful photos of the cooking process. This helps so much with recipe posts. Makes it easier for kitchen geeks like me. I found you through the #payitforward contest. You were featured by @viking-ventures. Congratulations and best wishes.
Thank you. Yes, my food recipes are literally detailed; I just thought I'd make it very easy in addition with the photos for anyone to view to avoid obscurity. Glad for finding me, I'm going to follow you. Thanks again. Have a wonderful lovely day.

I'm so glad you referenced your Wikipedia info this time - though I would still recommend a slight change in how you present it.
If you place a > in front of the section you're quoting, it will give you a block quote for it. Then, for the Wikipedia part, place square brackets [ and ] around the word Wikipedia (no spaces), then immediately follow it with the ( url ) encased in parentheses - again no spaces in that code, it will display it correctly on Steemit, making it a clickable link.
Let me know if you need further help. I am also on Discord - viking-ventures #2883.
Thanks I really appreciate your all your help. I've never tried to do it that way before. I will try to do that next time. Cause I'm learning as I go to do things here. It's a little different than other social media. But as I was reading on some posts that this platform is decentralized and that there's no censorship or anything and as such, but that is seemed to be not the case. Anyhow, am already on Discord with PAL, how do i get to your viking discord without creating another file on my computer?
I think all you need to do is click on the "friends" icon - that blue one at the top - and type in my username and watch for the number...
Otherwise, if you just tell me your Discord user name - and the number, I'll see if I can find you. The Discord client shows your number at the bottom left just under your user name.
Yes, Steemit is definitely very different than other platforms. And though no, there isn't really any censorship, there is still the expectation that we all strive to meet high standards - especially when it comes to acknowledging the work of others. This is especially important since there is money being earned on this platform, so there's no harmless borrowing of material.
Even I was reminded recently by an upvoter that I really needed to include the information about where I get my images from for my books - even though everything is creative commons and free to use, I still need to give credit on this platform.
A lot of that level of paranoia is to protect all of us. If Steemit were to get slapped with a huge lawsuit for endorsing plagiarism, we'd all be out of a job, so to speak. :-)
Anyway, I look forward to chatting to you later.
Yeah...i understand; got it now. Thank you. I'll try to find you there then. Have a beautiful lovely day. TTYL. :)
Awesome presentation of a simple recipe 👐👏, remind me to one of my childhood cakes with the same ingredients (but we used the duck eggs instead of chicken eggs), just margarine not butter, but I think I have to re-cook this one. Thanks for sharing
@roger5120.
Found you through @viking-ventures post in Pay It Forward Curation Contest this week.
Thanks for stopping by! I want to try these too.
Wonderful @viking-ventures. Btw, tried to find you on discord, but i don't have your tag #.
#2883
Hi, it still didn't work. Says to check capitalization, # etc. Anyway, mine is rogerine #3335. Hope it works for you. How's your day so far?
Hello @dispoabasch thank you and nice meeting you. I am also grateful to @viking-ventures for featuring my post. When you re-cook your recipe you may let me know how it turns out for you. I'd love to hear what you have to say, though you've had this before. And perhaps post a photo as well.
You're more than welcome. Have a nice day.
I will do my best if I had a chance to re-cook my recipe and your recipe too, it won't be me who bake this cake, my best ability is boils the water. My belated mom who did bake this when I was a kid. I will ask my wife to help.
Lol, thanks for your response. You know I was like that too before. All I knew was boil water. But that got changed when I left home. I learned cooking in my mid 20s, that was years ago. I'm sure your beautiful wife will make that a delight for you. Have a happy day my friend.
Great photos that looks really homely...Nice write up too....
Wish one day I could make it...
I am here as you are nominated by @viking-ventures for Pay It Forward contest..
