Happy Valentines to all. Try to LOVE more, dammit.

The world is filled with hate, and partisanship, and ego, and greed. You cannot post anything on Facebook, Instagram, even NextDoor (where its your own neighbors whom you know) without the comments thread degenerating into partisan bickering.

Take some time and enjoy the little things in life, like drinking a coffee slowly at a streetside cafe with a loved one. (as you can see I was so excited by the danish I snapped the picture only after taking a large bite out of it).

Better yet, have a walnut canoli with it.

I took these pictures in beautiful Sicily, Italy. If you plan a trip to Italy, there is too much to see, to fit it into one trip. But I would say, DO NOT miss Sicily. Southern Italian food is amazing. And the canoli was invented here! On our trip we went to Taormina, and then took a bus tour to Mount Etna (pictured in the background, yes its still active).

Also of course there are plenty of historical ruins. It always seems like half of Italy is in the ancient ruins state. But it has plenty of character.

Finally, here is a picture of the 3 legged symbol of Sicily. you can see this symbol everywhere, embedded in pottery and other kinds of art.
