Waste Not, Want Not: Homemade Candy Bars

in #food6 years ago

Not wanting to be wasteful of the excess chocolates left over from my chocolate covered strawberry spree, I made this candy bark by mixing in walnuts and layering the white and milk chocolate. It is very sweet, but it was so easy to make and could be altered based on whatever ingredients you have on hand. I thought of adding raisins to it a little too late, but I think they would have been an excellent addition.

So if you happen to be making chocolate covered goodies and don’t want to waste the leftovers, just pour the chocolate onto cooking spray prepared foil after mixing it with other yummy things, like walnuts, pecans, raisins, m&ms, or miniature marshmallows. If, like me, you were utilizing white and milk chocolate, all the better. Just layer the chocolates and swirl them together on the top layer for a nice aesthetic effect.
