Low carb and fat tuesday
'KapSalon' {EN: hairdresser's}
A typical traditional healthy Nederish dish.
A Rotterdam invention
With winter coming to the Northern Hemisphere we need to grow an extra protection layer, against the freezing cold. The traditional Nederish meal named 'KapSalon' is a good way to start. Today I decided to take low carb and fat tuesday to a new level. This dish originated from the city of Rotterdam, so it contains no Cannabis. For that you'd need to go to the beautifull country of Canada. As it got legalized overthere. Amsterdam is crying...
Back to our meal of the day though. Which seems to be a feast when you have the munchies, by the way. First you take a deep plate and you add a layer of French Fries. Which we call 'Patat' in Nederland and in Vlaanderen, our Southern neighbours call it 'Friet'. Normally we eat them with mayonaise. Do you know in which American movie an actor was surprised about the fact that we, Nederish, do this? (Ketchup on fries... C'mon, are you kidden' me!?)
Sauce it up
On top of the fries comes the first layer of sauce. In the Nederish language called 'Knoflooksaus'. That would be 'Garlicsauce' in English, ja? Next comes the meat, or the vegetarian replacement, known to the people of Nederland as 'Shoarma'. Meat it up gooood with alotta Shawarma. Those who like it spicey add 'Sambal' next. This is known as Chili Pasta in English?
Papa-Pepper might be using one made from a Ghost Pepper. Although, after watching a recent video of his, I doubt it. But I would choose the 'Sambal Badjak' version. You can leave it off though. Next another layer of sauce, which also can be Shawarma, BBQ or Whiskey saus. Next you put on a layer of Edam Cheese, or Gouda, and you can put it under the grill. To extra melt the cheese.
Pure health on top
To top it off we add some healthy green stuff. In this case 'IJsbergsla' or in English called Iceberg Lettuce, though I'm not sure about that. It is a crispy fresh moisty sweet kind of Lettuce. And it really is the cream on the cake. Now it is time to dig in and be sure to put a glass of water aside, we want to watch those carbs, remember?
And by the way, if you added Ghost Pepper pasta, you might consider a gallon of milk on the side, or a can of yogurt. Is it really low carbs and fat? Well dunno really, does 1800 kcal for a plate sound like much to you? It sure sounds a lot when you use KiloJoules, then it is 7500, all of a sudden.
Well of course it is unhealthy, if you would eat this every day, but now and then probably wont do you harm. And having enjoyed a foodgasm is worth something, right. At least when I go, I want it to be with a smile still on my face, my last words being: "Damn, that sure hit the spot!"
Have a great one!

Sambal/ Chillies makes you lose weight? Wow, that's new to me.
And yes, after watching the video Papa-Pepper made about the Ghost Pepper, I think it is for those who like extreme pain sensations. Hahaha.
Hm, forgot to mention the translation for 'Kapsalon'...
And it went all clear up! 😁
Is it not cooked?
Yes it is.

Make that a daily evening walk a bit longer today; the average man needs about 2200 kcal a day.
Ow, than I'm still a bit on the safe side. That walk should have burned some calories. :-)
Your c allowed a treat now and again and that was certainly a treat :)
Yes, I think I can live with that idea. And it sure was a treat. :-)
