Acapulco Adventures: Epic Tomahawk Steaks and Buen Fin!
It's Buen Fin which literally means good weekend here in Mexico. It's the Mexican Black Friday shopping holiday only it lasts the whole weekend and it started today. We stopped at a store we haven't shopped at since being carnivore and these steaks made me stop dead, their price made me bug John into purchasing them.
These delicious tomahawk steaks were about .8 kilos each at least and costed 220 pesos a kilo. It's more than we pay for a market steak but was insane in taste and texture, but more on that later.
They're shown just salted with coarse sea salt and coated in bacon fat to hang out before grilling.
