Midnight Salsa - how to make fire roasted salsa using hydroponic ingredients best fire roasted salsa
This is how i make some killer salsa from my hydroponic garden!!
And yes we fire roast this stuff - totally necessary to really unlock some flavor! so here's what ya need:
cooking pan wrapped with foil and pre oiled with some olive oil
couple of lbs or less of some cherry tomatoes
one large yellow onion
about 8 cloves of garlic
** 3 jalapenos for mild ( optional- couple more if you want it hot like me)
**1 Habanero pepper ( also optional - if you don't want the heat leave this out)
about a cup of cilantro
1/4 tsp cumin
some cayenne
dash of oregano
salt and pepper to taste ( can also add later)
one lime squeezed
fire roast in your boiler for about 20-30 mins, until you get the right char you want
blend it all together - dispense into container of choice, covered - then let it chill for a few hours to let all the air pockets out and to let the flavor mature
Serve and enjoy!
most of the ingredients came straight from my hydroponic gardens and it just makes it that much more delicious getting to use my own fresh and efficiently hydroponically grown produce !
this is a fantastic dish to share with all your friends - i haven't met ANYONE that doesn't like it yet

it's super tasty, lots of layers of flavors - but heed my warning! if you don't like it hot don't use the same amount of peppers i used! maybe start with like 3 maybe 4 jalapenos - I like it hot, so those extra peppers ( and the habanero ) do make a difference lol!
I don;t know about those jalapenos at midnight bro, could really be a problem for the old sphincter.
