Revolving Sushi bar - Kula Sushi
Hello all, I went to a Revolving sushi bar named Kula Sushi the other day and snapped a few shots that I would like to share with you.
They have a 'bar' and some tables along a conveyer belt that rotates sushi plates. Each table has a touchscreen in which you can select various food items of your choice.
A few shots of the menu items, they have quite a selection to choose from. Cooked foods from tempura, poki, noodles to sushi items which are $2.25 a plate, not too bad for the middle of silicon valley...
If you don't like to wait too long for your food, this is a good place as the plates on the conveyer just keep coming.
If you order from the touchscreen menu, the food does not take too long to arrive. (Top conveyer belt - Unagi)
All of your empty plates go down this shoot at your table, they are counted and the number is displayed on the touchscreen.
You have heard the saying 'You get what you pay for' and in the case of Kula, I think that holds true as the overall quality is OK. (The seafood seems fresh to me, it's just the way the pieces are cut and the presentation). I'm fairly certain that the 'chef' back there are not experienced sushi chefs from Japan...
Granted that each plate is 'only' $2.25 compared to a standard sushi bar. Higher end sushi bars are 3x the price or more.
So if your on a budget and hungry for some seafood/sushi, give Kula (or a similar boat/revolving sushi bar) a try. If your not on a budget, I'd say it's a skip...
Happy Thursday!
