When Things Go Wrong

This is what happens when things go wrong.What you see here on the photo, should be a poppy seed roll, which is called bejgli in Hungarian. It's a traditional food especially for Christmas and Easter.

Although it's traditional, it's the first time I made it. My mother has never made it and somehow it wasn't important till now.

This is how it looked before going into the oven, one with poppy seeds, the other with walnuts. They are not identical, I know but still, acceptable.

Than this happened. Nice, isn't it? Both were cracked open. Usually I would be very angry, but this time I said I won't let anyone or anything ruin my Christmas! No way!

After tasting it I said it's ok, nothing is ruined. it looks terrible, but I'm lucky, my family appreciates everything homemade, they never criticize me or anyone else for something that is not perfect. They loved it. Must admit, both tasted heavenly good.

I'm always saying Happiness is a state of mind, not a place on Earth. Sometimes things go wrong but who cares? If it's not the end of the world, then we deal with it. I've done much worse in the kitchen.

This definitely needs some practicing.
