Lets Go Colorful!!!Salad Anyone?
I like keeping things simple and easy in the kitchen that's why I also usually go simple on the salads. For me its more like, whatever I find around the kitchen - just chop it up, season and go! Its healthy, easy to make, and delicious!
Here a a few of my colorful yummy simple salad recipes that you (and even the kids!) can enjoy, with any meal of the day or take to work or even to picnics!

So lets see what colors you'd like to add to your meal....
1. Avocado and Green Onion Salad

Ingredients:
2 medium avocados, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
lemon to taste
salt to taste
Mix all ingredients together and serve!
If youre in a rush, another fast and tasty version for avocado would be:
2. Sliced Seasoned Avocado
Ingredients:
2 medium avocados, sliced
lemon juice, to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Place avocado slices on plate, season to taste and ENJOY!
3. Tuna Salad - choose your version!
Ingredients for the base:
Two 6-ounce cans white meat tuna packed in water, drained
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
olive oil
lemon juice, to taste
salt and pepper to taste
Additions to your choice:
Golden Circle Corn Kernels/ chopped onion(any kind of onion)/ celery/ red capsicum/ pickles/ hard boiled egg
Place tuna and mayo in bowl, chop any of the above additions to your salad and add to bowl.
Mix all ingredients together, season to taste and serve!
4. Tasty Beetroot Salad
Ingredients:
2-3 beetroots, boiled and peeled
1 teaspoon sugar
olive oil
a pinch of salt
lemon juice, to taste
Optional: fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Cook the beetroot (with its skin), in a pot with water, until softens.
Peel the skin off and cut the beetroot into thin slices. season to taste, mix together and add chopped fresh coriander leaves on top.
ENJOY!
5. Fresh Israeli Salad
Ingredients:
2 large tomatoes
2 cucumbers
1 red or white onion
1 bunch of fresh parsley leaves
Lemon juice, Olive oil, salt and pepper to taste
Additions to your choice: capsicum / lettuce or any vegetable you desire!
Chop up all the ingredients, give them a tiny, simple boost of seasoning and VOILA, the perfect colourful vegetable salad is ready!

Hi @energyaddict22! Glad you liked the salads! The israeli salad is my favorite too😄 its so simple to make and goes well with any meal. I sometimes even add some tahini sauce to it and eat it simple and delicious like that:)

Yummm... I love that they are so colourful - certainly looks appetising! I love that you use lots of onions and lemon juice, that would make things tangy and give a nice crunch to the taste! My sis normally is the one to prepare our salads - we also use whatever is lying around, and make things up as we go along. Green apples add a great taste to some salads too... depending on what you've got, I guess... Cheers! :)
I love salads!they are correlated to the place you live and thus you actually use local products and even products you grow in yr garden! Love them!
