Plastic bottles can also explode. Last week I had to wash turmeric powder and curry off my wall because of that. In general remember to not leave the bottles unattended.
True that but it is easier to feel when they are ready by gently squeezing them. hence why so many people that just start fermenting use plastic bottles. I hope you were able to remove all the yellow stains... turmeric all over the kitchen is not fun!
