- Sunflower(해바라기)는 Helianthus annuus의 학명을 가진 꽃이다.
- 해바라기는 미국 남서부 지역에서 원산지를 가지고 있으며, 지금은 전 세계적으로 재배되고 있다.
- 해바라기는 해가 돌아가면서 항상 태양을 향해 자라는 특징이 있다.
- 해바라기는 높이가 1~3m 정도 되며, 대개 한 개의 꽃을 가지고 있다.
- 해바라기는 식용으로도 사용되며, 씨앗은 기름, 채소, 산업 등에 이용된다.
- 해바라기는 국화과에 속하며, 국화과에는 해바라기 외에도 대표적으로 국화, 거베라, 카네이션 등이 속한다.
