#flowerphotochallenge - Submit your entries for the 1st Flower Photo Challenge! - Increase Steemit Engagement
Hello Steemians,
In case you missed the announcement for Steemit's first #flowerphotochallenge, you can start posting your original flower photos in the category flowerphotochallenge
Here on Steemit, we love photos and sharing with people from all over the world. It's what makes this platform great. It's absolutely amazing how many people have signed up to Steemit since it launched in 2016, and the number of sign ups is steadily increasing.
What I love about Steemit is the diversity of people here and how each person makes the platform rich and interesting. Increasing engagement on Steemit is not only a fun process, it's crucial for the platform to grow and for others to find out about it.
What better way to help grow Steemit than to share more of what you have to offer. Unique and personal content is not only way more interesting, it's 100 times more engage-able and share-able!
Since I blog mainly about gardening here, let's talk more about that. The gardening category is a place where I like to be and share but I'd like to see more photos from people's own backyard, and I think others would like it, too.
Steemit's FlowerPhotoChallenge - How it works:
Post photos of your flowers in the category flowerphotochallenge, the showier the better, and make sure they are 100% original. I will be using a tool to ensure they are original photos. (I don't want to find them anywhere else on the internet...if you've shared them on Steemit before, that's OK.)
They don't necessarily have to be the best quality photographs. Being a gardener and lover of flowers, I want the focus to be on the beauty of the flowers, not necessarily the photos themselves. But the photos need to be good enough to show the beauty of your flowers.
Indoor or outdoors flowers are great.
On May 1st, I will announce the first winner and two runner ups and make a new thread for the next month's entries.
And now, a special shout-out to some beautiful flower photographers here on Steemit:
Also, a special shout-out to @sardrt who posts amazing flower photos! Check out her post yesterday, filled with some of the most BEAUTIFUL shots I've ever seen.
I think my wife Aimee may have mentioned it but with our new living situation no indoor flowers this year. And outside is still a deep freeze! Overnight temps are still 15-20 degrees below freezing....
As soon as it warms up though we will try and get some outdoor flower pics.
I'll be so excited to see them! I am fascinated by the differing flowering species in different parts of the world. Where I live in the U.S. we are having consistent 70+ temps everyday. It's so nice!
Great flower photography
