Rucking... Day 2
The other day I posted about getting active.
I've fallen off the being active and healthy train pretty hard the past 6 months or so, but I'm trying to turn that around....
Today I had about 40 minutes before I had to pick up my daughter at the bus so I threw in my backpack with 30 pound weight and got moving.
2.1 miles (3.38km for the rest of the world) in 35 minutes. That's not a fast pace, but it's not crawling either. For reference the U.S. Army standard for infantry is 15 minute miles for 12 miles with gear and weapon.
These days I like to keep a nice pace that gets my heart rate up and gets me sweating a little. Right now 16-17 minute miles does that for me! Once I work myself in to a little better shape 15 minute miles will be doable again. For now I'm just trying to consistently get moving!
