portrait sketching and drawing practice, correction asymmetrical mistakes.
Hello my steemer friends, as today i finished my job earlier, i had a time to draw a portrait of a character using mixed of charcoal and graphite pen, and as i was experimenting a new techniques with sketching and drawing, i tried this time to start with a soft charcoal bar , then i defined the details using a harder charcoal one, at the end, i used the the graphite pencil to fill the details in, so let me show you the process below :
as you can see above, i started drawing outlines the of the face using graphite pencil and soft charcoal bar, then i continued to enhance the facial expressions and shade a little bit with harder charcoal bar.
then i continued to improve the hair and the eyes, also finishing the right side of the face, however, i found some symmetrical issue in my drawing so it is time to do some corrections to the whole structure of the face, one good advice here, do not be afraid to wipe or modify your drawing, this will improve your skills and makes you learn from your mistakes.
at the end, you can see that my corrections had paid off, the final drawing is more symmetrical, i also finished shading the hair using the graphite pencil and charcoal bar for darker tones.
Good expression man!
thanks Caroline, i was just practising with male/ female expressions and came up with this :-D
Cool:-D
