Unjustified worries or genuine impending financial collapse?

in #financial7 years ago

I've been reading and hearing for years now that the 2008 financial 'crisis' was only a warning before the big one.

Stepping back a little it seems those folks most confident they can predict the future have the strongest opinions and beliefs about their ideas, and often have a poorly hidden self-serving agenda. To be prepared you need gold and silver, you need Bitcoin, you need to get your money out of the bank, you need to get out of debt, you need to protect your family ... and if you buy/subscribe to my (insert product) you will have nothing to fear.

I have questions that don't seem to be answered by the predictors of doom. If the financial system collapses;

  • Who will buy my gold and silver? Is their money stashed under the bed? And, if cash is so valueless what’s the point of selling it for cash?

  • Where will the Police/Army have gone so that I need to defend my family from the suddenly uncivilised hordes of neighbours?

  • How will I spend crypto to get food and shelter?

  • Why will there be no way to get cash from the banks?

  • Why will the food mass production system suddenly cease to operate forcing me back to emergency backyard farming? What happens to our governments?

These questions and many more seem to waste too much of my mental energy. Are we doomed to a great depression, fall of Rome type of empire decline, or is fear mongering simply self-serving sales tool? These are just a few questions from someone who overthinks any scenario that might have a slight shade of truth behind it. A decade ago I was sure we were going to collapse because we were reaching ‘Peak Oil’. Turns out I wasted a load of time worrying about that one. Instead the oil price collapsed. Will I look back in another decade and wonder what all the worry was about? or are we all financially doomed! (except for those who bought crypto, gold, silver, and all the other financial doomsday prepper supplies)?

The only solution to the financial collapse, which is coming (see: history) is guns and ammunition.

I've heard a wise man say, "I'm good, I got my guns and plenty of ammunition, let it all go to hell." Following was a response from an even wiser man, "you never have enough ammo when you need it".

Most importantly, you won't want to be in a city when the dominoes fall for when they begin to fall, it will happen quick. I've already survived one war and trust me, no one sees it a day or even a week before it happens.

Either you are prepared or you're not.

I can't speak to the rest, but if the credit markets seize up due to a crash of stock market or many other reasons, then that will affect the just-in-time delivery model of everything at your grocery store, your gas pumps, ATMs will be shut down after runs on banks. The stock exchange will close, you will be able to use a credit card. You will have the money in your pocket, the gas in your tank, and the food in your pantry. It could be a couple weeks until things got moving again, and that is probably after the nwo sdr are run out as the answer to our monetary problems.

sorry, you will NOT be able to use credit and debit cards, or bank accounts to be limited to small amount of transactions per day
