This is not just another stop-motion animation film with great American voice actors.

The film is about the name-giving boy Kubo, who has to go on a dangerous journey to uncover the mysterious backgrounds of his deceased father and, at the same time, to arouse his own powers.
On the journey he is accompanied by sympathetic supporting figures who help him to defy the dangers and villains who block his way. Sometimes they make for really hearty laughs.
The plot jumps to many different places, where the connection is sometimes bumpy.
But that makes up for the fast-paced and well choreographed fights.
The story continues to unfold bit by bit and also offers some really heartbreaking moments.

Kubo and the Two Strings is a very good animation film with great trick technique, action-packed fights, thrilling story and lovable characters.

Dies ist nich eifach nur ein weiterer stop-motion Animationsfilm mit starken amerikanischen Sprechern.

Im Film geht es um den namensgebenden Jungen Kubo, der sich auf eine gefährliche Reise machen muss, um die mysteriösen Hintergründe über seinen verstorbenen Vater aufzudecken und nebenbei auch seine eigenen Kräfte entfacht. Auf der Reise begleiten ihn sympathische Nebenfiguren, die ihm Helfen, den Gefahren und Bösewichten zu trotzen, die seinen Weg versperren. Die sorgen dann mitunter auch für wirklich herzhafte Lacher.
Dabei springt die Handlung zu vielen verschiedenen Orten, wobei hier und da die Anknüpfung holpert.
Das machen aber die rasanten und gut choreographierten Kämpfe wieder wett.
Die Story entfaltet sich ebenfalls Stück für Stück weiter und bietet auch ein paar wirklich herzzerreißende Momente.

Kubo and the Two Strings ist ein toller Animationsfilm mit grandioser Tricktechnik, actiongeladenen Kämpfen, mitreißender Story und liebenswerten Charakteren.
