Shorties but Goldies #6
Hello dear Steemians. This time i came up with new serie about short films. As you know, I'm short filmmaker myself. I shot a lot of short film for my scholl and myself. The bad thing making short film is that you can't show them too many people. Many short films can't reach audience. Because of that, i want to make a serie about showing short films to you. I will show you 3 short films every week. That's gonna be one turkish film and two foreign film. Because especially in Turkey, short filmmakers need audience. We can't show our films to the world. 1) Sonuç [Result]
Result's director Hakan Sumer received awards at this festival with this film. The most important point of film is that it is a short and only one place shot. It is difficult to catch essence in short films. The old janitor who enters the classroom for cleaning sees an unresolved addition on the board. The numbers portray a memorial in the old man's mind that deeply influences him and perhaps changes his future. After all these years the man gives his answer. We will see with this film that small events can deeply affect our future. That is why all teachers and parents must be very careful on children.
2) Magnesium
Isabel is a promising young gymnast who is trying out for the European championships. She is really good about her work. But she is also pregnant. She is trying to get abortion but there is a rule about it in Dutch rules. She has to wait the 5 day cooling period. This is a great passion movie. Devote yourself and do everything for your goals. The director Sam de Jong has been awarded at many festivals. A high-thrill movie.
3) MEMORY 2.0
What is VR and how can it get bigger ? People have recently asked themselves this question in particular. Because developing technology makes people think. VR technology is a subject we all are curious about. There were a lot of films about it. This movie looks a little more romantic. Rob Munday said ''This film a love-story set in a not too unrecognisable future world where virtual reality is employed by memory simulation services to help their customers relive moments in the past, Memory 2.0 takes us on an emotion-packed journey through its protagonist’s fragile mind. I totally agree with him. This movie reveals our sensuality. Director Dugan O'Neal has won many award from festivals and touched upon a wonderful topic.
