“Bad Santa” Best Christmas Comedy! (Film Suggestion)

Are you a bit tired of watching the same movie with the animated dog that goes rescue the Princess, during the holidays? Nothing against those movies but If the answer is yes, than this article is for you.

“Bad Santa” is what we are talking about here. A great comedy with shady characters set in christmas time.

The film is is about a small time crook, played by none other than Billy Bob Thornton, who basically does one job a year during christmas. He and his partner, pose as Santa Claus and his helper in shopping malls and at night they rob the place. (The partner is an hilarious midget.)

The Santa thief finds himself really in a bad place in life. He is an alcoholic, he is always broke, has no prospects etc…While not particularly looking for redemption, he is thinking of quitting this low life job, he says he is tired of robing shopping malls and this year will be the last.

His partner makes him believe that all the quitting talk is nothing but talking. And so the story goes on, while they are planning the score. There are some very funny scenes of them working as Santa. He meets a very sweet and innocent kid that actually thinks he is Santa, creating a very particular "friendship" ( with no hollywood violins). He also meets a girl that has a Santa fetich, that create a particular "relationship".

I think this movie is extremely funny, played by master actors, you will laugh guaranteed. And despite the fact that it takes place in the criminal world and the main character is not as likeable as one would think, it is a good hearted movie.

A good movie to see, specially around this time of year. I mean, Billy Bob Thornton plays an alcoholic small time crook that masquerades as Santa... and it is a comedy... I think this is enough to go see it heheh
