50 Word Crime Story - Home of the Free
They came and gave us borders.
My grandmothers were forced to marry Chinese Immigrants or die barren.
Our choices: Assimilate or die.
So we hid our traditions in plain sight.
Now our children want to stop hiding. But the lie continues.
They say we died off.
Yet here We are.

Unfortunately yes.
It’s one of the many crimes committed against the Native American community.
"They say we died off, yet here we are" captures your story perfectly. The history of Native Americans and Aborigines of Australia have not been promoted as it should. The world should know more about what happened.
Even this short it speaks volumes of emotions.
