A Christmas Gift - 50 Word Short Story Contest

Cheryl was always rushing at the last minute.

Her gift ideas were uninspired. Shopping had been chaotic. Her wrapping unskilled.

She dropped it heading into work, staining the decorative paper with dirt.

She threw it into the santa sack and carried on with her day. She’d always hated secret santa.

This is my entry to @jayna’s 50 Word Short Story Contest.

I haven’t been on steemit much recently so it was a nice surprise to see this had changed from a challenge to a contest.
