That she recognized neither him; her first love, nor here; their first honeymoon destination, broke the old timer’s heart.
Still, he was eternally thankful. “We’ll grow old together”, she had promised him that day.
“You kept your promise,” he now whispered, teary as he led her back to the yacht.

True. When the memory of every important, shared thing, place, or event...is all wiped out, and ....and we are left alone to remember....while those with whom we shared can nolonger! it breaks the heart.
