Breathe slow. Your running out.

Her mic buzzed. “...hear me?”

Almost there. Enjoy it.

“Lucia?” His voice crackled. She imagined him sitting at the terminal, in tears. That made her smile.

“....please...can hear….-pond.”

Letting go of that cable was the easiest thing she’d done.

Finally, she’d have space.
