Dusty, rugged, haggard
I've played away my books and pen
Thrown away my sanity
Moving closer home
I remembered my mom
I'll rather be clean than get scold.
Prize giving day, Mom came
She thought am gonna make her proud
I failed.
The most clean came out, it wasn't me.

This is a really interesting story, @botefarm. There is so much going on here. Your writing is always a bit of a puzzle to me, and you have a lot to say!
My interpretation is that the narrator of the story is giving up a piece of himself to please his mother. But she cannot be pleased. No matter what he does, she disapproves. I sense there may also be drugs involved, and that "I'd rather be clean" means he is trying to quit his habit. (I may be reading that into the story incorrectly, though!) In the end, no matter what he tries or she tries, he is not clean enough for her.
How did I do with my interpretation? :-)

What I was writing on was a reminisce of a man about when he was a boy.
