Fifty runs till May - Week #8 - Off the beaten track
This is my eight post for the challenge set my @theaustrianguy to make sure we keep running: #fiftyrunstillmay. I've done two runs this week... one at home and one a completely new trail I've explored.
The run we did on Saturday was really awesome. Wolfkop (aka Wolf Hill) is about 20km from the small town of Citrusdal in the Northern Cape, South Africa. We had our weekend end-year function close by so Saturday morning at 8am we headed out to find the Wolfkop Trail.
My wife Riana and a friend Tim joined me and we found the strat of the trail on the third attempt. The trail is fairly explosed and it was about 30 degrees already. That being said, the rock formations and views were exceptional. We made good pace of the up and Riana showed us how to properly run downhill on our way down. What a great adventure!
