Flora and Fauna

The following contains information pertaining to the different Flora and Fauna found on Keltorin, this is not a complete guide it only contains records on species of note for abilities or harm they may cause.

Itono Bush:

Appearance:

The Itono Bush is a small thick plant with light coloured branches, an off coloured white and covered with black specks.

The Itono Bush is also covered in small rounded waxy leaves, they are dark green on the top and a lighter shade and slightly fuzzy underneath.

Dangers:

There are no known dangers with the consumption or handling of this plant. But one should always take care to prepare all herbs and medicines as per their directions, as unforeseen repercussions can occur when altering preparation methods.

Uses:

The Itono Bush is used to aid in the treatment of skin irritation and swelling, the bush is prepared and made into a paste that is applied directly onto the affected area.

Preparation:

Itono Bush Paste:

Once you have the Itono Bush, remove one of its branches by applying slight pressure at the branches joint - the branch should snap off easily at this point and cause little to no harm to the plant by harvesting in this fashion.

Once the branch is free from the main plant strip it of its leaves, until only the bare branch remains.

Then using a sharp blade, carefully cut open the branch open along its entire length.

Once open you will have now exposed the soft meaty pulp stored within its branches, using a blade harvest and collect the pulp and discard the remains of the branch.

Now the pulp has been removed, using either a mortar and pestle or similar grind the pulp until it forms into a thick paste - ensuring to remove as many solid lumps as possible.

The Itono Bush Paste is now ready to be applied directly onto the affected area to help aid in the relief of skin irritation and swelling.
