“So, I-yohn,” Ariel put her own inflection onto his name. “What brings a young man like you into the wilderness.”

For a moment, Iohn was lost in her thick accent, then, “Nothing much, really. I'm wandering.” Ariel arched an exquisite eyebrow, prompting him to continue. “I'm the oldest of eight children, and it was time to leave home.” He shrugged, “Here I am, following the will of the Father Creator.”

Ariel leaned back against the log and stretched out. “And what brought you to my humble camp?” For another long minute, he simply stared at her. It was the first time he had seen one of the firstborn, and her casual openess left him flumoxed.

“Umm,” he said, blushing lightly as she shifted slightly, emphasizing the lithe curves of her well toned body. “I smelled cooking venison and I guess I got lured in.”

“Is that all?” She casually inquired as she sat up and reached out to turn the venison on the fire. “So, if the wind had been from the other direction, we wouldn't have met?” Her casual smile set him at ease. She covertly glanced at him and noticed his attention to her body and a slight bluch crossed her cheeks. “Am I the first Daoine a bhios a 'siubhal that you've ever met?”

Iohn nodded. “Yes, Ma'am. You are.” He closed his eyes, trying to fight the childish desire coursing through his body. “Until now, I've only heard stories.”

Another arch of that delicate brow. “Stories? What kind of stories?” When he fidgeted, she chuckled softly. “Oh, those kind of stories?” She watched as the fire crawled up the side of his cheeks. “And you are wondering if they are true?”

“Well,” he admitted, “They are very explicit stories.” When she didn't answer, he took a deep breath. “They say that Daoine a bhios a 'siubhal are very worldly and love to experience pleasure.”

Ariel laughed softly. “Ah...you Rugadh de lasair and your stories.” She watched the venison on the spit. “It is true that we Daoine a bhios a 'siubhal are what you call worldly, but as we live for centuries, we don't deny ourselves anything.” She drew a small breath and leaned toward him. “We also know that not everyone shares our way, so we've learned....” she paused, reached for the word she wanted to use, “not to take advantage of people.” She reached out and rested her hand on Iohn's. “I promise that I won't do anything that you don't want me to do.”

( Rugadh de lasair = Those born of fire. Named because of the short life spans of the younger race. Compared to the Daoine a bhios a 'siubhal life spans of hundreds of years, Rugadh de Lasair only live for eighty to ninety years.)

Seems as if Iohn may have a nice night, meanwhile Jaymes is still in a quandary, but that is love and war I guess. But still is Ariel a nice person? I seem to recall the name, but can not remember yet as to if she was good, bad, or slightly, oh well that's life kind of person. I think the last, but can not remember for sure.
