#122:Breakfast Planning

One morning,
(some time later)

The Maggi, the Orc brothers and the Dragon lady were gathered around the breakfast bar having coffee and donuts while chatting. They’d taken to meeting informally before the day began.

Josh was with them. He’d moved onto the Island.

“Our two guests on the Cabin Cruiser took to SSmoke pretty quickly didn’t they?” Chad muttered.

“SSmoke is pretty easy to get used to and that's a fact.” Marc said as he helped himself to a donut “I’d sure hate to have to get along without it.”

“Yup...sure makes it easier for us Crips.” Captain said...he floated up behind Marc and swiped a donut.

"It would be nice if all our problems could be solved by SSmoke” the dragon lady said.”Unfortunately they can not.”

“What now?” Shelby asked.

“Someone wants the Island.” she replied. “Many someones. I’ve been getting phone calls, emails and even snail-mail ‘offers’. They are getting progressively more insistent. The residents are getting them also. I’ve received complaints.”

“Dunno.” Captain said “I don’t have a phone...or a mailbox.”

“Wise man” Marc replied. “Threats huh?”

“Yes.” the Dragon lady replied. “I’m beginning to be concerned. If they are willing to make threats what else might they be willing to do?”

“Think of the Children “ Shelby said ..

No one laughed.
