#40: Naomi - Executive Summary
“Whatcha laughing about NOW?” Julie was a bit peeved “I swear!”
“A catfish on a skateboard balancing a ball on it’s nose!” Naomi sputtered.
“hmmm..the life-pod DOES look a bit like a ball” Julie agreed.
“I thought it looked more like a fishing bobber” Cody told them “It’s an excellent design. Especially considering what you had to work with the time constraints.”
Naomi got herself under control...again.
“Sorry about that.” she said “not that kind of skate I take it?”
“Nope.” Cody told her “More like a manta ray. “
“OH?” Julie replied.
That set Cody off. He LOVED to explain matters technical. His mother despaired. She had often told him “ I just asked you what time it was...not how to build a clock. I didn’t want to know THAT much.”
Julie and Naomi hadn’t learned that about Cody...they were about too.
“...........that’s the executive summary ” Cody told them “I figure that since skate/ray design was old when the dinosaurs were old......................what?”
Cody had finally noticed that Julie and Naomi were just standing there looking at him...eyes glazed, mouths open.
“That was the executive summary?” Naomi said in wonder.
“Yes “ Cody was oblivious . “ I can go into greater detail if you’d like?
He sounded eager.
“NO! “ Julie said...perhaps a bit loud. “No...that will be quiet all right. I think you explained it just fine.”

I think that Cody will have more relevance in the next chapters, when the time comes for the fighting between the Viper Agency and the Banana Slug or with the Life Pod. Shelby, has to learn to control Cody to be of real use in the final battle ... As always children have an easy to learn, that's where Shelby and his collaborators must work to be able to strengthen...In fact, it must be part of the work that Joshua has been doing in previous episodes.
Naomi, and Julie, a captive audience so to speak. I think they are going to be having a fun time moving downstream., together.
