I woke up quite unnaturally gasping for breath, my eyes were blurry, all I could see was a bright light above me and 3 people gathered around me, I couldn't make out their faces tho, as my eyes adjusted to the light, I had a painful flashback, I was in an accident, I remembered seeing the bus a few inches away from me and the look on the driver's face as he desperately tried to put the bus to a halt, every part of me wanted to run but I knew it was too late, all I could do was close my eyes, the weird part is, I didn't feel the bus hit me, the music in ears just slowly faded until there was nothing but complete silence.

I finally woke up in the hospital surrounded by a doctor and two nurses who looked like they had seen a ghost, I wasn't feeling quite comfortable myself, I could hear everything, their heartbeats, the voice of another doctor attending to a patient in another room, babies crying, everything...and the smell, the smell was unbearable, I slowly got my self to relax, I sank back into the bed as the doctor tried to examine me. Just about when he finished his examinations, someone barged into the room, it was a guy, "how could someone look so good in a t-shirt and jeans" I thought, I did not remember knowing him, but whoever he was, he sure was happy to see him, I was still a bit confused by the look of happiness on his face and why he barged into the room when he hugged me, his body felt like a genius combination of bricks and feathers, so gentle yet so firm, I almost didn't want to let go of him, painfully I had to, "I don't even know this guy"I thought, so i asked him who he was, the doctor then told me, he followed me to the hospital after the accident "awww" my mind whispered, but that still didn't explain who he was, almost as if he read my mind, he said "hi I'm John", "hi John, I'm confused" I replied, I still don't know why I said that, I was trying to make a stupid joke "he probably likes me less now" I thought.

The doctor and nurses left the room, they must have sensed the awkwardness, after they left, he asked how I was doing, I told him I wasn't great, which was a lie, I was feeling quite fine for someone who just got hit by a bus, but he didn't need to know that. I wondered if he was just one of the people that witnessed the accident, "but if was, why is he still here" I thought, so I asked him why he came to the hospital with me, apparently he was the driver of the taxi I was in that morning, at the point, I was made of questions, but they could wait, especially when he brought out my earphones and ipod, I couldn't control my excitement as I saw it, I wanted to kiss him right there and then, it was a combination of excitement and relief, that ipod was older than I was, but of course, I'm sure it wasn't called an ipod then.

I played one of my favorites, and shared my earphones with him, I'd actually never done that before, I was very protective of them, I remember seeing his smile before I fell asleep. I woke up to an empty chair beside me, and a very hungry stomach, it was morning already "uh, he must have left" I thought, "he probably has better things to do" I concluded, "or maybe it was all a dream", "am I going crazy", these were the thoughts that invaded my mind as I went back into the sleeping position I recently left, the smell of freshly baked donuts caressed my nose as I heard the door open, the beautiful aroma was followed by the stench of coffee, I hate coffee, it makes me really hyper, and I don't need that, I'm constantly trying to stay calm, the last time I took coffee, I had to move and change my identity.

I smiled as he walked into the room with the donut and coffee, he was the sweetest, he had gone to get me something to eat, at least that was what I thought till he bit into donut, "what a savage" I thought, he seemed really hungry though, but he could have at least shared, I had a confused and annoyed look on my face, but it didn't seem to bother him, he just sat on te chair beside me, smiling, enjoying every bite of the donut, I was about to talk when he brought out a box of donuts out from wherever it was he was keeping it, "how could I have missed that" I thought, I never miss anything, but then I missed a bus in the middle of the road so...I punched him playfully for toying with me, he laughed, he seemed happy to have tricked me, I grabbed the donuts from him, I was starving, he offered me coffee but I refused, our beautiful breakfast was interrupted by the doctor and the surprised look on his face.

"You should be resting" he said, I almost rolled my eyes at him, "you had a concussion and a lot of fractures, you should be lying down" he continued, "I'm fine" I replied, he continued, ignoring my reply "yesterday when I checked your heart rate, it was very abnormal, almost 200beats in one minute, we just assumed it was from the shock, but even for that, its abnormal, I'm gonna have to check you again to make sure everything is fine, oh and there's bad news, you won't be able to walk for some months", "I'm fine" I almost screamed as he came closer to me, "you don't need to check me again", john just sat there, confused, he had seen me walk before the doctor came in.
