JOHN
I had recently lost my job and a lot of money, I had to pay bills and stay alive, so I decided to work as a taxi driver for a while since I already had a car, "it shouldn't be so hard" I thought to my self, I was wrong, it was really hard, I drove around for about an hour before getting a passenger, "finally" I shouted as she stopped my car, she was an angel, and not just be she was my first passenger, she was absolutely beautiful, she had big innocent blue eyes that seemed to capture my soul, her silky black hair was packed in a bun, allowing her perfectly defined face to glow in the light of the sun, she entered the car and immediately plugged her earphones in her ears, I tried to talk to her but she couldn't hear me, but I wasn't going to give up.
I looked back at her, so she could know I was talking to her, and it worked, she removed her earphones and we started talking, I could tell she was really interested in talking to me, I would have gotten her number if she hadn't gotten to her destination before I had the chance, she got down after paying me and immediately plugged her earphones back in her ears, I took off realizing I wasn't going to get her number, I had not gone far when I heard honking, I looked back through the mirror, only to see her lying on the floor with people gathering around her, I immediately stopped the car, I got down and ran to the where her body was lying, while calling an ambulance, it was a terrible sight, there was blood everywhere. The ambulance arrived and a male and female paramedic got down, one checked her pulse while the other brought out the stretcher, the look on the paramedic's face suggested that she still had a pulse.
"One, two, three", they counted before transferring her to the stretcher then into the ambulance, I tried to go into the ambulance with her but I wasn't allowed, so I ran back to my car and followed the ambulance, we arrived at the hospital and two nurses came running to the ambulance and moved her into the hospital, she already had an oxygen mask on her face, her face that glowed earlier was starting to look pale, even though I'd just met her, my heart was almost falling out of my mouth, I had not experienced something like that in real life.
I rushed after the nurses into the hospital, she was taken into the ER, and I was asked to stay outside, they asked if I was related to her, I panicked and said yes, I didn't want them to ask me to leave, I paced around for about an hour before the doctor came out, I tried to judge if it was good or bad news from the look on his face, his face didn't give me any information, I guessed after several years of sharing bad news, his faces must have been tired of having expressions. I approached him to ask about her, the closer I got to him, the faster my heart beat, I asked and he said "it's a miracle shes alive, we managed to stop the bleeding, but she suffered a concussion and a few broken bones", he also said she was going to have to be in the hospital for a while, "so she's going to be okay" I asked, "eventually", he replied.
I asked if I could see her, he said I could but she was heavily sedated and that so I wouldn't be able to talk to her, seeing her was enough for me, I was taken to the ICU which she had been transferred to, I walked into the room, the smell of alcohol bombarded my nose and sent goosebumps throughout my body, I did not like hospitals one bit, it's ironic but hospitals make me sick, I composed myself and walked over to the bed she was lying in, she wasn't looking great, I sat beside her just staring, listening to the steady beep of the monitor, I couldn't talk to her, I didn't even know her name, I just sat there hoping she would wake up, as if she heard me, she started to move, I was starting to get excited, until her movement turned into shaking, the monitor started beeping really fast, I knew that wasn't a good sign, I ran out calling the doctor, but he was already at the door with the nurses, they rushed in and asked me to leave the room.
