We Float, We Float, and We Float

(Disclaimer: Please read @suesa 's post A Sea Turtle's Life, look at the comment section = ] , and her parody post on A Jellyfish's Life , I am just continuing with the fun XD)

We Float, We Float and We Float, floating along the current is how we choose our lives to be, never can we go against the current -- we are planktonic.

We are official called Aurelia aurita but more commonly know as the moon jellyfish for our distinctive crescent moon like gonads, yes those were our moon shaped balls (and ovaries). The rest of our bodies are nearly transparent, but all our guts are and our arms are there.

We Float, We Float and We Float, don't come near us if you are small marine animals, swim near us and our mini-harpoons will be firing at you. Our nematocyst will fire the shot in 3 milliseconds and you will be poisoned. We like digesting our food outside, we spit all the digestive enzyme on you and wait for you to melt. We Float, We Spit and We Drink and Float.

People always see us at aquariums as we are easy to keep, unlike other jellyfish which might get tangled from one and other's long tentacles. But did you noticed, we are always kept in circulating tanks?

We need the current to keep us float and float and float, the current keep us healthy and give us our shape, without the current, we might get eversions, without the current we might sink to the bottom, without the current, there won't be food running into out mouth.

Therefore we always need to float, we float, and we float.

Have you ever thought that we are bioluminescent, cause we always have cool colors on us and maybe heard that the Green Fluorescent Protein comes from jellyfish?

We Float, We "Glow", and We Float
