“Did you get what you needed from Quint’s computer to help you get home?” Glarfel asked.
Alienbutt had explained the reason for his arrival after the fight.
“Yes, thank you, although information on the cult is sketchy at best.” Alienbutt said, standing up and picking up the amulet.
“And with the terrible accident that befell Quint, there’s no legal reason to impound Quint’s possessions until a trial so you may as well take the amulet if it helps you,” Glarfel said with a knowing smile.
“That’s good, time really is against me,” Alienbutt said, returning the smile. “And Quint and his men are no longer a threat to your people. Seems we both win.”
“When you leave, plot a course for the library at Watakusha Prime, it’s a little out of your way but it holds over three thousand years of knowledge. If anyone knows about what you will face they will,” Glarfel said, and Alienbutt realised he was been asked politely to leave.
“Thank you, I’ll head out there,” he said, walking around the desk. Glarfel continued to look at the floor, unable to meet his eyes as he left.

Alienbutt waited until he was into deep space before he brought his ship to a stop and looked down at his arm.
“OK you, I want an explanation. What the hell was going on back there with that grenade and all that?” The arm showed no sign of responding and after a minute Alienbutt began to feel foolish. “Well, that’s better, last thing I need is an arm that does its own thing.” Alienbutt looked away from the arm then looked back out of the corner of his eye to see if it moved. Despite it not doing anything, Alienbutt wasn’t convinced. His arm was not right and he didn’t trust it.
