The First Fiction-Trail Writing Competition Update 1

@meesterboom and @naquoya have BOTH offered to sponsor the competition for a week each, so we now have at LEAST a three-weekly competition.
If ONLY we could get a Whale involved to donate a substantial prize too… Sigh ;)

Reminder! These are the criteria for entering. The two items make the job of the Judges a little easier, that's all, (but you want to be on the right side of the judges, don't you? :D)
To enter, the FIRST tag needs to be fiction-trail and one more of fiction.
Use the picture on this post This is so we can see at a glance who is entering the competition.
The world’s your oyster from there. Use more pics through the story if you like, as long as the first one is the one in this post.
The prizes will be 60 STEEM – donated by me, @michelle.gent.
@fiction-trail will ALSO be donating Steem-Trail Coin.
The prizes, therefore, will be:
1st – 30 Trail Coin & 30 STEEM
2nd – 20 Trail Coin & 20 STEEM
3rd – 10 Trail Coin & 10 STEEM
You WILL need an Open Ledger Account to receive the Trail Coin.

Awesome! Hopefully this would encourage a more active fiction community. I hope that I could submit an entry in the next iterations.
I was actually part of a similar initiative before ( #descriptionsonthespot more info here ), but it didn't see much progress. I was actually the one who introduced the image prompt idea there, though there were no prizes though. @complexring was the whale that backed it, so maybe you guys can approach him and see if he's interested. There were also a lot of interested Steemians, so maybe you could direct promotion material their way and see if they could submit entries.
Really though, I'm just so happy about this. All of us fiction writers need to band together and create a solid centralized community. We can all benefit from it, and improve together. The key thing is that we need to support each other through voting and commenting on each other's work, to encourage each other. If people get disenfranchised and leave, what good is it to be a lone fiction writer here, right? Let's help each other help the fiction community thrive. Kudos to @michelle.gent, @meesterboom, @naquoya and the rest of the @fiction-trail community!

@fiction-trail is certainly moving on with trying to get our stable of writers involved and kinda herded together, rather than far-flung and scattered.
We have quite a number of ideas going at the moment, feel free to not only check them out, but contribute too. New ideas are always welcome :)
