Saludos amigos de Steemit y seguidores de The " WE LOVE ANIMALS - PHOTO CONTEST ". Las Mantis son insectos muy hermosos y elegantes, su tamaño es de 4 a 5 cm. Son animales solitarios y solo buscan a su pareja en la época de reproducción. Esta amiga que te muestro la encontré en el jardín de mi casa hace unos meses y se comportó como una modelo profesional ya que casi no se movió, aunque debo confesar que me asustó mucho porque cuando me acerqué demasiado ella saltó a la cámara. Así que creo que eso puede servir como prueba, después de eso la devolví de nuevo en el jardín. Espero que sea de su agrado.
The Mantis are very beautiful and elegant insects, their size is 4 to 5 cm. They are solitary animals and only look for their partner in the breeding season. This friend that I show you I found her in the garden of my house a few months ago and she behaved like a professional model since she almost did not move, although I have to confess that it scared me a lot because when I got too close she jumped into the camera. So I think that can serve as proof, after that I returned it again in the garden. I hope you like it.

That is an amazing shot! It was really good that the mantis didn't go away and allow you to share with us that amazing portrait! I have seen many on Caracas near the National Park but didn't know that they were also in places that near to the beach. Are mantis abundant on Cumaná?
