#FFF TAKES A BACK SEAT
Hellooooo all my foodie friends. Did ya think I just blew you off? NO WAY, you are my peeps, I think about you all the time.
But, time is at a premium for our family in November and December.
We just had an extended, long weekend, with the whole @farm-mom & @thebigsweed CLAN.
wHAT A TRIP folks. Phew!
What should we talk about first, the amount of groceries we bought, or maybe talk about just the basics, TP.??
Now you all know I love my family to the max, BUT, can we talk? I mean, keep this on the down low?
Our farm is always loaded with fresh frozen, at this time of year, veggies and berries, venison etc..
My kids will never starve, thank you G.
TP? Now that's something to figure into the budget.
In 5 days, with our #homestead at max. compacity, the case in the closest never saw the "bye-Bye babies".
A TP run was absolutely necessary. HAHAHAAHAHAHA I really am laughing now, cause this sit is true.

I made so much food this past week, I am still in a food coma. I think anyone who really enjoys cooking knows, ya gotta taste it yourself. Hence, you are stuffed before the big meal is served.
I could show you lots of pix of the mayhem, joy and love that was shared here at "The Farm".
My hope is that all of you beautiful people @foodfight feel my joy in life, know I am humble and wish all of you peace and joy in your lives.
Happy Birthday to anyone born in November, the Jurgs have 6 special peeps born that month.
This is my favorite grand-son, but he always reminds grammy, "I am your only grand-son". With soon to be the 6th g-daughter.
I am blessed.
Cooking together can be therapeutic... soothing . Healthy for your mind and body.
Fixed a nice veggie fried rice.
Made a tasteful fresh tomato sauce, with fresh oregano.
Oregano, one of the few herbs I managed to bring inside and make it thrive.
Not always easy, but got lucky with this beauty.

Oh @farm-mom, I enjoyed that! Sounds like you had loads of fun with the family and needed loads of TP, funny how important that minuscule item is hey, should be the king of all the groceries as that's one thing we can't avoid buying not so;) Lovely post!

I am sure you are always busy with shopping for groceries to create all those beautiful meals. Running a B&B must keep you plenty busy, but seems to me ,a really "good busy."
It's not work if you love what you are doing. I always loved my job, I was an x-ray technologist and worked at the same hospital for 37 years, had such great friends there. I grew with the hospital, I look back now and realize how fortunate I was to have my home away from home be so special.
One last thing, always have a back-up case of TP, because if you run out, panic will set in just as it did for me this past weekend. I had to send my son out in the cold darkness for a TP run, there was no getting around it.

You got that right, just returned from a quick trip back to Jersey to party with some old friends and was a nervous wreck driving down there. We were just on the Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge, during rush hour, it was bumper to bumper, took us over an hour to go less than 5 miles.
Here in Upstate NY, I can be in Syracuse which is over 50 miles in less than an hour.
Yeah I am a farmer now and loving it.
Apparently, all our cooking leads from foo foo to poo-poo.
Buying two cases of TP next time, as @thebigsweed always says "gotta have a back up."🙄😊✌

Hahaha… I’m obsessed with not running out of TP. I swear, Dandays is always making fun of me because when we are down to 3 rolls I can’t stop thinking about needing TP should we get food poisoning and can’t leave the house. It’s a real fear 🤦🏼♀️
Per usual your food looks great and nutritious. Tell me again, when should we be expecting our fresh harvested maple syrup? Btw, your grandson is adorable. Happy food fight @farm-mom!

TP shortage can raise my blood pressure, we ran out one time and my boys used paper towels, I came home from work with dang toilet loaded with literally a mm to overflow! My trusty plunger worked out the clog, but it was too late to avoid the long rubber gloves, hazmat suit, googles and respirator, to clean the rest of the mess. I tried to make the boys clean up the mess, but they kept gaging and I was afraid I would be cleaning up puck 😉 next.😒😁
Stop by anytime, still have a few cases of syrup from last March.

I know the feeling. I’m kind of a toilet Paper nazi. Often times it’s just quicker and more efficient if we clean it up ourselves. Even if Dandays does clean I go right around behind him and do it again thoroughly. Haha
Maybe this time next year we’ll make a pop up visit 😉

No way! That not how we roll. If we gave you a heads up then you’d have time to prepare and what fun is that. I’ll come with my portion of TP so as not to intrude. Haha

Love your throwback photo! And all your great meals. Happy to know you are stocked up on TP, too! I have been buying it by the case from an earth friendly company called Who Gives a Crap. It's nice having it delivered to the door, and besides that, they make me laugh.
