Burger & Fries - Food Fight Friday
They’re just words anyway, things don’t always have to appear the way you believe is mornal to be narmol. Does “burger & fries” remind you of fast food? When I think of a burger, it’s usually ‘hamburger’ that comes to mind which is commonly beef. When I think about fries, I’m visualizing deep fried, salted potato wedges, not apples—not today!
Welcome to #foodfightfriday, my favorite Friday of the week—if it’s #food related, it flies. It also means I’m the chef who brought this contender up through the ranks, without me it wouldn’t even be here right now so I can call it whatever I want. Ladies and gents of #steemit, my contender this week:
Burger & Fries
That’s normal isn’t it? Fried artichoke hearts and brussel sprouts with onions, green bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and spicy brown mustard on lightly toasted multi grain, sunflower seed bread with a side of apples dipped in peanut butter—that counts as Burger & Fries, right?
“Then what was all of that stuff about ‘they’re just words’ anyway?” Haven’t you ever looked it up? “Looked up what?” Your prep station will look something like this:
Remove the artichoke hearts from the oil and let them set on a napkin for about 10 minutes while chopping up the remaining vegetables.
With five or six air circles of olive oil in the frying pan and a medium flame, toss in all of the vegetables, beginning with the onions. I cooked the onions a couple of minutes first just until they were clear. Next is the brussel sprouts, add them to the pan and allow them to cook for another minute or so with the onions. Bell peppers are next and then the artichokes get tossed in for about three minutes at the end—the vegetables are done cooking in about 10 minutes.
After a rinse under the kitchen sink and a quick wipe down, the fries are ready to be sliced up. You’ll want to substitute peanut butter for ketchup on this one.
I like to lightly toast my bread slices before spreading some spicy mustard around. The only thing left to do now is pile on some vegetables, stack your second slice and enjoy!

Have been busy as ever the past 48 hours. With the farm-mom being away and with my son visiting and still here, I decided to go for it.
Perfect scenario, wife away and free labor ready to rock and roll.
The home we live in I built, and put on an addition around 14 years ago.
With everything 100% finished but the floor, I figured I would surprise the farm-mom and do the job while she was away. With her only planning on being gone for a couple of days it required 2 very long days. Mission accomplished, When she walked in we were cleaning up. Had all of the floor laid and will make and install all of the base molding today.
Tried to delegate Steem again this morning, the results were the same.

We have a big move coming janton, we’ve been so occupied with getting our affairs in order we’re actually pretty tired by 9-10 o’clock, New Year’s Eve wasn’t any different. 😉

There’s a couple of airports we’re landing in prior to Costa Rica. Pura Vida will board a plane first on Thursday. I’ll catch up with he the following Tuesday. In just about 10 more days the both of us, together, will be landing on the other side of US territory.
wow sir dandays..I wouldn't be able to sleep for days before those flights! This is amazing. And you'll stay in touch or do a quick post or something occasionally until you get settled in a permanent house?
I’d like to think I would, at minimum, continue the pace I’m at now by releasing something early in the week, most likely on mondays and then again of #fff.
But I’m also secretly hoping life and my surrounding elements are so exciting I’m inclined to post, at minimum, once per day.
Did you get your new computer yet?? What’s taking that thing so long? Have you and Mrs. J been able to spend some time together between now and Christmas?
Howdy sir dandays! I'm sure that your life will be so interesting and exciting that you'll want to post every day, whether you'll have time to is another question. I think you'll have more important things to do though.
No computer yet. Well when we ordered it we opted for the free shipping option and they said it would take something like 2.5 weeks to get here. Unheard of these days isn't it? lol. I think once I get it I'll be able to spend less time on here so it'll pay for itself in no time. Plus Mrs. J will be thrilled.
On the days that she works we don't spend much time together because of the 12 hour shift length but on the days off we do although I'm tied up here on steemit too much so like I said it will be nice to free up some time, I might not be at the top of the League chart as much but who cares.
Oh, I wanted your opinion about the theory that the big institutional investors are waiting on the sidelines until the price of cryptos bottom out and then they'll jump in. I've heard that from some big names in the business and from people like Glen Beck. Does that sound logical?
2n1/2 weeks shipping huh? Your new computer is already outdated and it’s still in the mail! Ha. Free up time? I bet it’s more like requires more of your time. ...maybe not. If you don’t mind, I’d like to see the computer you’re currently working on, yay? Nay?
As far as the crypto market, I got nothin @janton! I know I don’t use logic and rationale when trying to decipher it though. The more I learn, the more I realize just one or two guys is controlling that whole thing too. Who knows what direction they’re going? I honestly try not to care, my mentality has, and is still, banking on the end of 2020. Whatever happens between now and then, I’m just going to enjoy the ride.
