Thanks so much, @joelsegovia! I have to say #9 is one of my favorites too, especially since I didn't try blurring the background with a filter - it came off my camera that way. For a lower-to-midrange priced camera, it takes some amazing shots. And again, thank you for your kind words!
Great, what model of your camera? I always have had a crush with photography, but still cannot afford to buy one😅
My camera is a Nikon COOLPIX P610 Digital (more info about it on Amazon HERE), and when my hubby got it for me a few years ago, it was about a third of the price of that listing!
You should be able to find a decent camera for a low price to get started, then upgrade eventually if you even need to. There are even some phones that have better cameras than cameras!
I would suggest using whatever you have available to take photos, and just start playing around - you'll have an even bigger crush in no time! 😊

I love cardinals! We have them here and I’m always trying to photograph them, but certainly haven’t come anywhere near to capturing clear shots like these. St some point I really am going to have to get a real camera.
I have a hard enough time getting these little guys with my fairly decent camera - I can't even imagine attempting it with a camera phone! You really should get the real deal some day - you already have a good eye for photography, so I can imagine how amazing your shots would be!
I have a cardinal couple that comes to my feeder. They are the tiniest birds that visit the feeder and I can't help but think they must be a bit intimidated by the jays, grackles, red-wing blackbirds and woodpeckers.
I didn't know about the spiritual aspects of the cardinals, so I couldn't say what I was thinking about or who I was thinking about any of the times I've seen them, but I'll be taking note of that going forward. Your pics and videos are awesome!
Over the past few years, when I had my feeder out, I noticed that the cardinals preferred to visit at dusk, when most of the other birds head flown back to their nests (and the lighting was terrible for pictures - brats! LOL!). I wouldn't be at all surprised to find they were lovers, not fighters.
I only heard about the "seeing a cardinal is a message from a loved one" aspect about a decade or so ago, and while it doesn't pop into my head each time I see them, I find it does at the times I need it most. I hope the same happens for you.
