Feathered Friday

I got some crow shots on an overcast day where you can actually see the feathers. That's not the easiest thing to do. At least for me anyway. They usually look like a black hole. :)

Oh! I love these guys! Thanks for posting them to #featheredfriday!
Thank you :)
I was thinking of doing a crow exposé. You beat me to it:)
More crows!
I love crows and these are some fine photos of them.
Thank you! :)
Those are great shots! Crows always look like they're up to something and these pictures are perfect examples.

Thanks :)
They ARE always up to something! Haha
Howdy sir rossfletcher! oh those are really good! Do you use a huge lens on your camera?
Thank you kind sir! I'm using an older Sony A77 and a 70x300mm lens. Because it's not a full frame sensor that lens is actually 110x450 mm on that camera. It's a pretty decent reach but not large in size at all. I can carry it around and shoot without a tripod easily. Birders tend to use much larger lenses and high quality cameras.
Oh, very interesting, thanks for the explanation sir rossfletcher. yeah those big huge lens would be kind of heavy to carry around all day, not to mention attract attention!
People use tripods with those big ones. It's a lot more relaxing way of doing things. You wont get as many different angles and shots but you can enjoy yourself and not stress your neck and back : )
oh yeah, that makes perfect sense sir rossfletcher, good points!
