#FeatheredFriday with Flocks of Geese and the Beauty of the Setting Sun...

in #featheredfriday5 years ago

There has been loads of geese flying south as the days shorten and the temperature starts to drop.

Taking our dog, Bruno, for a late afternoon walk up the hill, we caught a wonderful view of the geese flying by and the glorious setting sun!

Here is what Bruno was listening to in the video above...

The sun was starting to set leaving a lovely pink accent on the clouds and another flock of geese were flying into that sun set...

After the geese flew by we were awed by the beauty of the setting sun.

We knew it was going to be a good one for there was some good cloud formation yet clear at the horizon. And sure enough it was spectacular!

With that leaving us with a feeling of magic, we headed home as the skies began to darken.

It’s amazing how much sound they make in a big flock!

Just magical. Love to see these photos. Bruno looks like he has his fine sunset appreciating face on there!

It's great to see these birds in their natural habitat doing their natural things! The sunset is amazing, too. Probably I should go out this evening to catch the big fire ball's setting down, it's been a while :)

My favorite was the first sunset/geese one, but those sunset ones, especially the blaze one, just stunning!

Oh! That sunset is so beautiful! While I much prefer seeing the geese flying north it is wonderful to see them flying high overhead in their V formations. Thanks for posting these great photos to #featheredfriday!

I wish they were flying north too! That is one of my signs that spring is really here, when I hear the honking of the geese with their return from the winter migration!

Such beautiful shots here my friend and certainly enhanced by the sunset.
No here's just a friendly tip. When you see them come over again, isolate one, I normally target the leader, track him, focus him and after the snap you will have your big bird in flight.

As an example, this Sacred Ibis was the leader of a v formation at sunset and at a fair distance.

Great tip! Thanks so much! Lovely picture too!

Thank you and just trying to help my friend.
I know that you will get it right, as just look at you moons and how they have improved.
Blessings!

Watching the birds moving in numbers at sunset I agree with Bruno, sit , enjoy and watch. Gorgeous evening share @porters!
