Feathered Friday tag is been hosted by @keithboone who is himself very much a bird lover and this week's @featheredfriday i am going to show you a couple of beautiful birds that i captured while on my African Safari Tour i did this tour with a friend of my who is a professional photographer i wanted to go along with him to learn more about photography especially in capturing birds and animals either standing still in flight or on the move and i have got to tell you as @keithboone would know himself it takes a lot of patience and experience but you do feel very proud of yourself when you achieve those prefect photos and thank you for your tips on photographing birds in different movements they are very handy tips.

These two beautiful Eagle's i was proud to capture under my friend's advise as with the first Eagle that was relatively easy as he was sitting still on this tree , i used a Nikon camera with a 400mm lens as with the second Eagle i caught him in flight and it was actually my first photo of a bird in flight i called it beginners luck and used the same camera.

Beginners luck or not, the photo of flying eagle is great, so is the first!

Awwww..Thank you my friend it was a good day and i had a good teacher with me :)

Your first shot has amazing clarity, you are looking at a Vulture one of the 11 species found in Africa _(varies north Africa to southern Africa), 9 species in Southern Africa, cleaning up 70% of carrion in the bush. This one looks to be a Cape Vulture.

Second capture appears to be an African Hawk Eagle what a good day for photography you had @hangin. Would be interesting to know where you had these sightings.

Thank you for clarifying that @joanstewart i know names of animals like that's a bird or that's a eagle but it's particular species name forget it to many to try and remember.

This Africa safari tour by memory took place i think in Serengeti National Park, in Northern Tanzania it was about 4 years ago.

An area I would love to visit you captured some amazing shots.

I have only ever seen Vultures at a great distance in Zimbabwe, eagles, hawks and other larger birds I have numerous birding books (travel with me).

Most southern African birds one remembers once seen, always interesting to know where sightings happen, you never know if you lucky enough to be in the area.

WOW...living in Africa so much closer then me it certainly is a place to visit so much wildlife there i would love to do another safari trip there in the near future :)

If ever you decide to visit South Africa select the months of May to September (winter months, shorter days, less heat and humidity on the East Coast). Suggest quieter parks like Hluhluwe/iMfolozi National parks which are close to the iSimangaliso Wetlands lands park for at least ten days to enjoy the area. Most people head to Kruger National Park being well known, there are many smaller parks in South Africa offering just as much wildlife in quieter regions.

Many excellent tours offered from Cape Town all the way up through Namibia, Botswana onto Victoria Falls well worthwhile considering as well. West coast visit would most probably be better in the months January to May, they have winter rains.

Thank you so much for all that detailed information much appreciated i would love to get to Cape Town early next year i have heard a lot of good things about Cape Town you never known if i do make it there i will let you know for a honest tour around...Cheers :)

Amazing shots! I would be proud to have taken either of these. The first shot looks like it might be a vulture? The eagle in flight is terrific, you have some skills at this! Thank you for participating in Feathered Friday! Voted & resteemed! Have a great weekend :-)

Thank you @keithboone i was proud of myself also , but thanks to the good teacher i had with me and you are right it is a Vulture Eagle i google it :)

Thanks for the upvote and resteem...and you have a great weekend also ....Cheers :)

Excellent post and very lovely brid photography.. My,dear friend

Thank you so much for your kind words @moniroy :)

What awesome birds! Your photos are great. Following a good photographer around is always such a great opportunity to learn new things.

Thank you my friend he has taught me a lot but i just wish i had his camera equipment i would be having even more fun with photography :)

That does make a difference, doesn't it?

It certainly does am waiting on this steem price to go up so i can update to a more modern camera :)

That is a great thing to plan to buy when Steem goes up!

Lets hope real soon i dropped my camera the other day and it cracked the body casing and did notice it's not focusing close up as good as it use to like before...sad :(

Oh no! That is heartbreaking news for all of us! I am so sorry.

I will go to the Sony shop today to see if it is worth fixing but i would rather buy a new one they are never the same when they suffer damage like that falling on hard cement floor :(

Howdy sir hangin! what great shots you got there, amazing!

Thank you , sir janton it was the luck of the day :)

haha! either that or you are being too modest sir hangin! lol.

No really it was beginners luck i had never used a camera with a 400mm lens before and i mastered it well i do think :)
