Vince blinked his eyes open. A soft, tender hand caressed his forehead. Vince looked up to behold a pretty face. It was her. He shifted, a bid to get away from her. Slowly, the realization drifted to his consciousness. He was still in the library.

"What's going on?"

Vince saw himself dragged outside the library though it was more like he following her leading, blindly. The sky outside had began their slow moody motion, changing positions, the like that announces the arrival of a downpour.

She had him against the wall, her stare literally pinning him to it.

"How could you do that in public?"
Her voice sounded adenoidal. With her hands akimbo, she soul gazed at him as though trying to draw the answer out of him. He noticed her features clearer this time. She had dirty blonde hair that had curls running down the side of her face. Her cheekbone hung high in a way that suggests she was always smiling. Her eyes were the blue-black and dreamy. He thought they looked chatoyant.

He was staring.
"Emm... I don't know what you're talking about."

He wondered how he sounded. The lady had taken him seriously though as she had calmed down.

"You were channeling me. I could feel it."
"Channel? "

He eyed her trying to look for features that could confirm she wasn’t in her senses.

" You didn't know? " She was genuinely puzzled this time around and her eyes flashed as she looked him over. Vince felt inadequate as she bathed him with her eyes. She stopped short when she came back to his upper half, her eyes having searched him already. Vince wondered if she had powers beyond her visions.

"What's that on your neck? "

He looked down to see the ropes holding the pendant clearly visible.

She wasn’t supposed to see that

"Oh," he blurted, rearranging it out of sight. "It's nothing."

She took some steps forward. She was face-to-face with him before he could retreat.
"Why do I have this feeling you're not being truthful? "

She reached into his shirt and dug out the pendant. It was throbbing as much as ever.

" Does it hurt when it throbs?" she inquired, her eyes fixed on the pendant that now laid in both her hands. He scratched the back of his head lightly. He was contemplating what could be the right answer. He could say yes and she may want to try it on. He could chose the alternative and she may decide it's better she held on to it. Well, he had to say something. A blend of both answers.
"Not exactly."

He motioned for her to hand it over but she turned away, engrossed in examining the pendant turning it over in her hands.

"Runsax doz mae. Vak amin le stokz."
She appeared to have read some markings on the pendant and it responded with a light that glowed. She allowed him tale it this time. She was heading back inside. He gave a careful look at the pendant. It was radiating a soft bluish light. He rolled it around his hand. His eyes caught something. Vince thought he saw what looked like a tiny lock embedded into it, beneath the surface. He had never seen it before.
"Do you think this is a lock?"
he asked beckoning on her before she could step her feet into the library. She hesitated. Then began moving again. Vince held out the pendant, angling it so she could get a good view. Realization flowed into her face. Still surprised, she touched the pendant. The light that had been glimmers suddenly shot up and engulfed them in an infinite bubble as they felt themselves being sucked in to the lock in the pendant.
