A victim of only 14 years of age has spoken out about her ordeals with a sexually abusive gang of 9 members, it was said before she became targeted that she had been showing signs of a promising future ahead of herself.
She was predicted to be receiving top grades for all her studies and mentioned she wanted to grow her knowledge and became a future lawyer.

But because of the abuse she endured by the gang of 9 she instead found herself suddenly dropping out of school and is said to have been often caught getting into trouble with the local police.
The victim of now a group called the "Bradford Sex Abuse Gang" is said to have plied her with alcohol before raping her when she was 14 years of age.

There was also another girl discovered as a victim, and both girls had been taken into the local system's care at the age of 14 and also both had repeatedly ran away from their local authorities care centre.
This was not a restrictive shelter unit and so the staff really had no power to stop the girls from leaving, which is something I brought up on a previous post on how some staff claimed that not having such power to stop the girls and boys was putting them at a greater risk but nor did they want reinforced rules as it makes the situation feel more like a prison and that the victims are the ones being punished.

Anyway so in this case the girls would run away during the night the initial girl who spoke out said that the use of alcohol and the drugs were both very aggravating features along with the abuse and pressure from the gang that it ruined any chances of them being able to trust or form any real attachments with any of the staff or others in the home.

It was pointed out that both these young 14 year old girls despairing out at night were missing out on valuable sleep and education in a very early stage and significant part of their lives because of the gang.

In this case it was said that as the knowledge of the opportunities available to take advantage of young damaged people spreads its getting less uncommon to hear of young men and women also getting involved with committing these acts.

One member of the gang Khaliq was sentenced to a total of 20 years imprisonment he was given 16 years for each of the five counts of rape, and the other four years for assault by penetration.

Another in the group of the arrested and sentenced was Akhtar who was also jailed for a total of 20 years, he was given two five year terms for causing and encouraging child prostitution.

However in this gang another member the jury recently found that 37 year old Majid was not guilty of one count of rape by the majorities verdict.

In the end it was found that this gang of 9 were predatory sex offenders who in this case targeted two vulnerable children and abused them both physically and mentally.

The 2nd girl gave a statement which was read out in court saying she had been diagnosed with depression, PTSD, anxiety since turning 15, she's struggled to sleep and when she does managed to close her eyes she as nightmares.
She also admitted to having previous issues with self-harm and multiple suicide attempts and that now she struggle's to leave the house due to her anxiety which prevents her from living a typical life without that constant fear in her mind and will be spending most of her life on medication.

To combat this she as been seeing a mental health worker every two weeks but says it difficult as the scars greatly affect her confidence and self-worth plus the drugs and alcohol misuse has had a large affect on her health one such as abnormal liver functionality.

She is trying to rebuild her life but it was very difficult while her abuser's walked the streets freely but with hopefully some kind of justice served it will give her some boost into now a better path of life.
The gang got a total of 130 years between them.
