[FamilyProtection] The Injustice Of CPS In The Central Registry Of Abuse Can Cost You Your Job and Many More!!
Aside all the troubles and traumas CPS investigation brings to both parents and their children, parents seem to be unaware of the fact that their names are placed on a registry of perpetrator of abuse whether convicted or not. Each state in the USA maintains a form of this central registry(database), which some employers of some job types have access to and could deprive innocent parents and kicking them out of a job or not gaining one at all. This niche of jobs are usually those where children are involved, for example schools, but not limited to just that.
While some states only put names of parents who had been investigated and some sort of abuse "founded", other states put all names of every parent they encounter whether the report was "founded or unfounded". This is INJUSTICE of the highest order! and parents should never be made to wear tags of Abusers when they are not.

This is a complete disregard for our rights and we need to know how to fight this more effectively and timely, we need to call for the due process of law!.
Implications Of The Registries/Records Base
- You may lose your job in some working niches where children are involved, many of which run a background check
- You may be refused employment in this set of niches, or even in any sector where employers do child-abuse background check before employment.
- There are have been cases where teenage mothers who had cases with CPS were deprived admission into school.
- CPS finds it easy to probe your life when they need to.
- A bad NAME destroys reputation. No one wants to be tagged A Child Abuser when they were indeed very much innocent. A good name is worth more than riches!.
What You Must Do
Many parents make the mistake of going home happily and relaxing after winning a case in the court, or after getting their kids safe without getting to court. No No No, never ever make this mistake, do not relax until you get your name off that registry!, your job and reputation may depend on that bold acknowledgement.
Some state allows for administrative hearing to prove that your name is imputed there based on false accusation (unfounded) or when you were not convicted. Other states require a judicial court hearing where you would prove your innocence. All state holds different procedure and timing for enabling the deleting of your name from the registry. Study your state code/statutes to get the exact information to help move your name off this destructive list, this definitely would take lots of time!!
The listing of names on unfounded cases and cases without conviction by the CPS should be stopped, many parents never realizes their names are so blackened by CPS until its too late. Some parents have been fighting for years to get their names off, but the system "pretends" to be "slow", or they would tend to weary you off your spirited journey to get your name off that Black-Database.

WOW! I didn't know this about the US. I don't believe this happens in Europe, but I could be mistaken. Not in Ireland anyway. Injustice is an understatement! These people should be getting their names cleared and pronto! And they should sue the state to be honest. This is not something they should be getting away with. Great post @kryptocoin! They shouldn't be getting a way with this, because they are unfairly tarnishing one's image without valid grounds. When it comes to CPS, the law seem to be thrown off into the bin. Not until the introduction of CAPTA before names could be deleted. There should be a clear law restricting CPS from doing this when a parent is not convicted of Abuse. I wonder if Canada has a similar list where the names are placed on it even if the people do not lose custody of their children.
Canada does have a list and it holds everyone's name that has ever been contacted by CAS (guilty or not). My understanding is that it can be shared throughout the provincial agencies and external parties if they are served with a warrant or for a criminal background check for a job opportunity with kids as @kryptocoin mentioned.

Canada follows similar method. I remember vividly two years ago when I was making some research and I read a parent outcry on this issue, and she stated she was from Canada., I doubt if this has been amended over there, but the US never made any amendment.
oh. This is really important to know then. I wonder if it would even affect things like getting travel visas, or driving across the border into the USA.
None that I have heard of. The only complains I've read of parent is usually on job opportunity "mostly those where kids" are and the teen mothers who had problem with admission. The CAPTA mentioned something about that(employment). And the lady I worked with on upwork.
So it is very unlikely if that would ever happen.

We keep getting told about universal basic income.
That its ok to rely on the govern-cement for you money each month.
But, the govern-cement can't even handle something as simple as keeping a list of actual criminals.
Or maybe its that they don't want to keep the list accurate, they want to keep as many people on it as possible. Their jobs probably depend on it. An evil force has set this up to destroy people.
@builderofcastles you are very right! A very evil 'force' indeed! You said it right, because these people have no soul and are not human.
It goes deeper than we can start to enumerate, they keep this record this way not because they can't keep it accurate, but presumably, because they have a long term strategy.
I often think there is too much information available to the public out there. It can get into the wrong hands and be exaggerated. No one needs to be black listed. Employers can access all sorts of records without your permission. NO PRIVACY OR RESPECT! In this day and age one must protect themselves which means complete removal from these lists. Also a periodic google search of your name is helpful to just see what Big Brother and the public John Doe can access. This is a well written post and thank you for writing it.
