Thousands Of Parents Pushing For CPS Reform
Earlier this year, over 1,000 concerned parents launched a fight against child protective services in Minnesota. The group, Stop Child Protection Services from Legally Kidnapping Children, sought an injunction from federal court to shut down cps.
At least 4,000 parents have already signed a petition for the group that is hosted on change.org and the group had collected support from thousands of parents within only a few days.
Dwight Mitchell formed the group and there are now already plans to expand it to other states, to launch more lawsuits to try and reform child protective services. Mitchell is also the founder of the Family Preservation Foundation.
The group believes that the current rules surrounding child protective services are too vague and that they are unconstitutional, it allows for the legal kidnapping of children which they want to see put to an end.
Many parents who have had their children wrongfully removed from the state are looking for changes to be made so that there aren't similar injustices going forward. That federal case that was launched months ago finally began this fall.
Success...
For one mom from Minnesota, she's already been given her son back after a judge ruled that disinformation was being used to continue justifying the hold.
Those with the group looking for reform insist that they aren't necessarily against CPS, it's that they are against the organization in its current state and for that reason they say it needs to be abolished. There are some working closely with the CPS organization as well who have also suggested the same, that the system in its current form is too riddled with problems.
Mitchell has also been a victim of CPS and has had his own children removed from his home. In November, oral arguments had commenced for his CPS case. Ultimately, the group could keep pushing for reform across the nation and it's long overdue that some changes be made because there are many parents who feel that the state has unjustly destroyed their family by confiscating and relocating their loved ones.

I hope that more and more concerned groups like this will be formed and that CPS will be abolished sooner than later!
i hope so too, strength in numbers!
