We’re at a very interesting time. Technologies are rapidly changing the way we do business, and in general the way we behave as humans. With the “formidable five” of Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, Google, and Facebook deeply connected to our lives, it won't be obvious what the next platform will be.
As an experienced corporate financial executive, with 20+ years of experience in automotive, medical and telecom industries, I have learned that the role of the CFO is to provide strategic guidance on the risk and financial implications of investing in innovative (but unproven) technologies.
Interest and investment in a particular area or technology is not success guaranteed. More than ever, the CFO’s job is to help the company make good decisions.
Autonomous driving, space exploration, genomics, epigenetics, CRISPR and gene editing, cryptocurrencies, augmented reality, virtual reality, and quantum computing.

I personally think that all the emerging technologies have their place in time which is now. All is coming to fruition and it seems it is all being tied in nice and neat. I would like to further speak with you and perhaps what you had in mind when writing this
