Statistical View on Exercise
So I have always had trouble with exercise. It is not that I don't know or get the benefits of exercise it is just that I often find myself unmotivated to exercise. It always seemed to take too much time which can be on improving myself. So I have decided to take a statistical analysis on exercise.
Does Exercise Really Helps You Live Longer?!
Well according to a study in BMJ in the year 2012. The study included over 650,000 doing moderate exercise like walking and cycling. The results were outstanding. For every 2.5 hours put into exercise weekly your life will increase by on average from 3.4 to 4.5 years but how many hours is that?! well lets just say you added on the lower end 3.4 years to your life that would amount to roughly 30,000 hours.
However that's not all productive time as you would have to take into account things like sleep. this means you'll gain 20000 hours of productive time.
Lets say you exercise for your whole adult life starting at 20 and stopping at 80. This means that you have been working 2.5 hours a week for 60 years which is added to give us a total of 78,000 hours
So in Summary the way we think of exercise is wrong. You are not losing money by exercising you are actually creating some. This obviously isn't a way to cheat death as the longer you exercise the more the results start to diminish.
