Hello, my dearest friends! The art of embroidery ribbons appeared in the XIV century in France during the reign of Louis the Great.

After mastering the Venetian technique of making silk ribbons by local craftsmen, the outfits of French nobles were full of brocade, gold and silk.

Until the XVIII century embroidery with ribbons was a privilege of the nobility.

Today, many masters also prefer to work with ribbons, and look at their pictures - a pleasure. Such bright canvases created with the help of ordinary colored ribbons will always attract your attention.

From afar it seems that the flowers are alive. On the canvases, each petal of roses, forget-me-nots or tulips is very similar to the original.

But the Fire-bird looked just magical.

Imagine how much time you need to spend to get such a picture.

And the picture is closer to see the neat work and beautiful stitches.

It turns out not so easy to create such a composition. And need a special scheme intended of the figure, the Hoop and a bunch of multi-colored ribbons of different sizes and quality.

You will also need patience, imagination, a strong needle and pleasant music :-)

Someone embroider straight stitches, others like a French knot, some have already adapted to do air or twisted.

At first I didn't even know what to photograph. So many colorful works, all kinds of compositions and panels.

Among them were paintings on Jersey, moire, tapestry, canvas, velvet and even felt. Interesting work saw on flax and cotton.
