The Sanctuary: Chapter 21
Chapter 21
The meeting did not last long and after reminding the students of the things they needed to remember while inside the Sanctuary, the teachers let them go to rest. But that rest was short lived as the students are treated to hellish training the next day.
Thankfully with the help of the training and medicines specially catered to adjust there body to the Sanctuary's environment, the students are finally free from the constraint that battered their bodies.
With three days quickly passing the students only have four days left before they are booted out of the Sanctuary. To make best use of the remaining days, the teachers decided to give them some practical training.
"I think everyone are already aware why you are here, right?" A leading teacher asked.
"Yes!" Everyone answered.
Nodding the teacher explained meeting's agenda.
"Though everyone's aware, I will still explain for the sake of completion. An hour later you'll all ve escorted to the outskirt of the Bleeding forest to hunt demon beast and train!"
The students listened intently, afraid of missing any important details. Though aware of the content of the training, this does not stop the students from feeling nervous. After all even the weakest demon beast is not something a single awakened student can beat.
"Demon beast are humanity's nemesis, and every one of them is incredibly strong. Even a level 1 demon beast can shred any one of you to pieces! So don't think that because you're a.genius in school you'll be able to handle a demon beast."
Seeing the students serious expressions, the teacher looked satisfied. After all this students are future powerhouse of their school and he cannot afford to let anything happen to them. Therefore he decided to be a villain just for today and hammer the truth to them.
The Sanctuary is a place teaming with dangers, and one mistake could lead to a lost in life. Fortunately the students understand this, thus making his job easier.
After several more warnings, the students are given 30 minutes to mentally prepare themselves. They are then escorted to the Bleeding Forest for their training.
"Make sure to cooperate with one another when fighting demon beast. Get some signal flares from your teachers, and once you encountered danger that you cannot handle use it without hesitation! Remember, no heroics. Prioritize your safety before anything else, understood?" The leading teacher asked.
"Understood!" Everyone answered.
"Good! Today's quota is a demon beast core. Every demon beast have one, and your team must bring one core to complete the task. The training begins now!"
The students took their supplies and signal flares after the lead teachers speech. Team by team the students entered the blood colored forest.
"Dang! This place looked creepy." Fatty Jing could not help but mutter after seeing the blood colored foliages and ground.
Everyone agreed with fatty Jing and could not help feel a bit apprehensive. No wonder it is called the Bleeding Forest. The surrounding looked like it's bleeding!
Fatty Jing unaware that he unnerved his classmates with his words started to tease Dylan.
"Heeeyyyy, lover boy! Are you disappointed that you're beloved Dianne's not with you?" Asked the grinning fatty Jing.
Dylan kicked fatty Jing in the ass as response to his teasing.
"Dammit, you ass-kicking monster! Do you have anything against asses that you loved kicking them?" Fatty Jing complained while nursing his hurting buttocks.
"Served you right for joking in this situation." Dylan mercilessly said.
Annoyed with Dylan's answer, fatty Jing started to arguing with Dylan. Their silly banters somewhar manages to loosened the tense situation and everyone started to calm down.
Dylan saw this and nods to himself. Though it pays to be on high alert, being too tense woundn't be good to anyone. Hence he took advantage of fatty Jing's chatty and teasing nature to help everyone calmed down. Thankfully, fatty Jing understand him quite well and cooperates with him.
None of his other classmate notices this plan aside from Vivian who looked at Dylan with appreciation. Though she is their class representative, she too was very tense and could not perform her duty as.the class representative.
"He's surprisingly impressive..." thought Vivian to herself as he looked at Dylan with newfound interest.
She then noticed that Dylan stopped walking and is instead looking up ahead with a solemn expression.
"What's wrong?" Vivian walked towards Dylan and asked cautiously.
"There's a demon beast two to three kilometers ahead of us." Dylan answered.
"What?!" Everyone exclaimed at what Dylan said.
"How did you know?" Vivian asked solemnly.
"I cannot go into details but it had something to do with my second ability. Not good, it noticed us!" Dylan warned as he took out his twin knives.
