"How could it be her?"

Dylan almost wanted to slam his head on a wall after seeing who his opponent is.

"Isn't this just an ascension match? Then why am I matched with her?!"

Frustrated Dylan looked at his opponent again hoping that his eyes are just playing tricks on him. But the person in front of him did not change.

"Sigh... why am I so unlucky?"

After confirming his opponent Dylan could not help but sigh in his head. He is actually matched against... Moe!

Looking at the vivacious young lady energetically waving at her fans, Dylan "greeted" all nine generation ancestors of the person who matched her with him. Meaning, he is cursing whoever made the freaking random match generator!

To those who did not understand what is happening, Moe is the B-rank's current 10th ranker! That's right, a ranker, one of the best in this rank, the top ten, the freaking 10th place! And Dylan? He's just someone hoping to ascend to the B-rank through this ascension match!

Yet, the damn system actually match him against the B-rank's current 10th placer...

Another reason why Dylan wanted to slam his head against a wall is because of Moe's second identity. Moe is an idol. An idol, as in a very famous celebrity. This is the real reason why Dylan is moaning complain in his heart.

In reality, Dylan do not fear this rank's rankers. This is because he is confident that he could give these rankers a good fight—even the current 1st place. But Moe is another story all together.

Being a top idol, Moe have great number of fans. How is this relevant you say? Will think of it this way. When fighting Moe, you're not only fighting her but fighting her fans as well. In another word, the pressure from her fans are so great that one cannot help but tremble!

This is why in the B-rank, no one wanted to challenge Moe—even the rankers from the 9th place to the 1st.

Yet Dylan was actually matched against such a troublesome opponent for his ascension match!

"Hiya! I heard this match is actually you're ascension match? You're very unlucky!" Moe greeted Dylan very energetically.

Her fans then followed with their own teasing.

"Oh? So this is that guy's ascension match?"

"Lol! How could anyone be so unlucky?"

"Hahaha! My stomach's already aching from laughing!"

"Go beat him Moe-tan!"

"Moe-tan I love you! Please have my baby!"

"What the hell?! Who said that?! Show me your face if you're a man!"

Dylan faced-palmed after hearing what Moe's fans are saying. "Can't we have a proper conversation here?" He thought.

Calming himself, Dylan gestured, and said, "please!"

Oh? Moe looked at her masked opponent with interest. She was surprised to see an opponent that manages to calm himself so quickly when facing her.

"Peh! Show off!"

"Go beat him, Moe-tan!"

"Yeah, show him what you're capable of, Moe-tan!"

"Moe-tan I love you! Please, Marry me!"

"Who said that? Shoe me your face if you're a man!"

Dylan almost lost it again when Moe-tan's crazed fans started their antics. Fortunately, his state of mind is strong or he'll start cursing them.

Moe simply waves at her fans, then summoned her weapon—two large hammers!

Seeing this Dylan turned more solemn, while Moe's crazed fans became more rowdy. Ignoring them, twin daggers appeared on Dylan's hands. Then without warning disappeared from where he is standing, only to reappear behind Moe!

The glistening twin daggers suddenly stabbed, aiming at Moe's defenseless back!

But Moe did not panic, and used the momentum from her hammers to quickly spin around!

Seeing this, Dylan quickly retractedhis arms, and dodges!

BANG!

Two powerful hammers hits the spot where Dylan was previously standing, thus creating two small craters. But Moe's counter attack is not yet over, after missing her mark, Moe suddenly throw one of her hammers towards Dylan.

Dylan lay flat on the ground as the hammer whiz passed his head. He then rolled sideway, and quickly recovered his posture.

"Such incredible strenght!" Dylan thought as he looked at Moe with a solemn expression.

The entire arena is totally silent as the two contenders stare at each other. But then...

"Great!"

"Moe-tan's so strong!"

"Go, Moe-tan! Beat that masked guy!"

"Moe-tan!"

"Moe-tan!"

"Moe-tan!"

Seeing that Dylan losses the first clash, Moe's fans started cheering. Yet Moe ignored them, and looked at Dylan with a very serious expression.

She now view Dylan in a new light. Before the fight, though she did not view Dylan with contempt, she did understimate him. This mysterious masked guy is actually this strong!

One should know that the combination attack she performed earlier is actually one of her strongest attack! Yet her opponent manages to dodge it all without much effort.

Dylan notices that Moe is starting to view him seriously. And this is actually what Dylan wanted. Only by fighting strong opponent will he improve!

The atmosphere on the arena became tenser as the two contenders prepares to use their respective trump cards. Even Moe's rowdy fans calmed down after noticing the tense atmosphere.
