Entomology is a branch of biology that focuses on studying insects. Entomology comes from the word entomon which means insect and logo which means science.

This cannot be denied because human daily life cannot be separated from the relationship with insects.

Agriculture and insects seem to be a classic problem that will not be endless, even today is still debated. In the world of agriculture, insects can become opponents and friends of farmers. In one hand, insects become destructive pests of cultivated plants which can cause losses to harvest failure.

Because of its crucial role, the knowledge of insects to farmers should be given more attention.

Knowledge about insects is important because by studying the source of the problem, we can find the right solution. The root of the problem in this case is that insects need to be identified by any species that have the potential to become pests of cultivated plants.

However, to realize this, the role of the government is needed in promoting entomology to farmers. Because a system will be successfully implemented if all the components in it work together and the implementation is carried out continuously.
